2026 Planzer apprentice camp in Melchsee-Frutt

3 August 2026

Experiencing new things together, strengthening team spirit and sharing beautiful moments in the great outdoors: the 2026 apprentice camp in Melchsee-Frutt was once again a resounding success. Our apprentices took the opportunity to get to know people on other professional paths, overcome challenges together and gain valuable experience for their day-to-day work.

The Planzer training programme has its own brand, ‘Die Berufung’ (The Vocation).

A special premiere

This year, for the first time, all second-year apprentices attended the camp at the same time, with the festivities bundled into one week instead of divided into two. This required more extensive planning and the corresponding involvement of our training department, ABI. In Melchsee-Frutt, the focus was on shared experiences, team spirit and cross-professional exchanges.

Team spirit and sawdust

Alongside charitable work, there were also plenty of relaxed moments, fun and games. A particular highlight was the visit by Roger Brügger, Branch Manager at Planzer Bern and a former top ‘Schwingen’ wrestler. After an introduction to the sport of Swiss wrestling, the apprentices were even able to step onto the sawdust and compete against him themselves.

‘This year, we were able to hold the camp with all the apprentices from all regions of Switzerland and Germany together for the first time. It was a resounding success, and one that we plan to repeat next year.’
